Fostering transformation through intimate encounters with Earthfire Animals

There are numerous places people can go for healing, reflection, and connecting with nature, but few that focus on reawakening our deep bond with animals and how that visceral awareness motivates us to protect them and their habitats.

At Earthfire Institute, one of our focuses is how visitors can give back to all Life – not just the animals at Earthfire, but wild animals and natural wildlife habitats everywhere. We work to foster the realization that if we look to heal the whole community that is our Earth, we will be healed in the process. Our sanctuary animals are incredible ambassadors, showing us the joy and rewards of this way of seeing things. To build a community dedicated to preserving wild animals and wild places of our planet, we believe the first step is to give you the opportunity to gain a deep and heart-based understanding of who these beings are through life-changing personal encounters.

It takes time to understand the animals in a way that gives them proper respect and still provides you with a full experience, so our primary format for visits are a limited number of multiple day retreats and single-day custom visits. Due to the limited number of visitors we allow, we want to ensure those who do visit are like-minded in their efforts for wildlife and land conservation. We ask that you be willing to contribute to our mission. Contributions could include charitable financial support, volunteering with conservation organizations, or working to preserve and/or create habitat for wild animals in your local area.

Earthfire’s custom visits and retreats offer the possibility of transformative experiences with nature. Profound connections with other living beings open us to an awareness of our inherent kinship with all Life. These encounters demonstrate the vibrant individuality of wild animals, their ecological importance, and the value of preserving wildlands for them.

Out of respect for our sanctuary residents and rehabilitation animals, we offer a limited number of single-day custom visits and multi-day retreats.

For those unable to visit us in person, we also offer online programs such as story-sharing circles, interviews, and podcasts.
