Seeds in various stages of germination

This week, the coronavirus pandemic reached 5 million cases. While much is still unknown about the emergence of this disease, there is strong evidence to support the idea that it was caused by our disrespect for non-human life. But not all that has come from this experience has been bad---it has opened the doors for important conversations to be had around the globe, centering on both immediate and long-term effects of human life on the planet. As we continue to seek answers and solutions, it is our hope that these will consider the future of all life on our Earth. These are some of the stories that have been keeping us informed and filling us with hope recently: Immunologist Dr....

Seeds in various stages of germination

The news that is foremost in nearly everyone's mind right now is coronavirus. But these stories show that some good has come of this pandemic: A positive perspective on coronavirus: what if the virus is the medicine? The toilet paper shortage has a lot of people buying bidets, and that's a good thing for the environment. Vietnam is following China's lead in banning the trade and consumption of wildlife. Seeds are tiny, magical packets of latent energy and potential, ready to burst forth when conditions are right. They contain the very essence of Life itself: ancient wisdoms and future hopes, exquisitely designed to adapt and evolve as needs arise. Part of Earthfire’s mission is to be a seed center. We invite you to partake, swap and share them. May they all bear fruit. Promotional image for the film "The Twelve" featuring an indigenous woman

When two of my most respected colleagues who deal with spiritual issues and our environmental crises tell me to watch something, I listen.  The Twelve is a profound experience and a powerful transmission of wisdom messages from twelve indigenous elders from around the world. The film takes us back into what it is to be human, to live in harmony with nature, and with each other. Following the example of these elders travelling thousands of miles and stepping into the unknown for Humanity’s benefit, how can we as individuals and communities get into action to change the course of what is happening to our planet? The film is free to download and stream in seven languages...
