Tanaka is gentle, shy, and deeply affectionate with those he is comfortable with. Although he lacks the intensity of his more confident mate, Destiny, he is quick to discipline their shared litter of puppies. He responds eagerly to rubs with fresh peppermint leaves and oils. Years ago, he was rushed to a veterinary clinic for emergency surgery. They were nervous about working on a wolf, but he won them over with his sweetness after a touch-and-go operation and was dubbed a “true gentleman” wolf.
