Despite his rambunctious nature, often displayed by him beating on the sides of his enclosures when trying to get handlers’ or guests’ attention, he has quite the affectionate disposition. He is quick to wander up to the fencing to lick the waiting hands of his handlers and even their faces should they lean where his long tongue can reach. They must be prepared though, for when the soft look in his eyes shifts to a wicked gleam, it’s well known that he is about to throw his large frame against the fence to startle the waiting individuals. He playfully evades going into his various enclosures for cleaning purposes, often leaving one rear leg in the slider so that it can’t be closed. Of course this is easily remedied with a cherry pie topped with whipped cream. He must first lap every ounce of cream off before indulging in his favorite baked treat.
