Kaya

Kaya was born the smallest of her siblings, but was graced with a gentle and sensitive disposition. When she was stung by a bee, she refused to eat and go outside for days. When she eats salmon, she must peel the skin of first and savor each delectable bite. She craves the attention of her caregivers so much that, often when it is time to bring her to her enclosure from the garden, she needs to be coddled and then carried in. She no longer gets along with her sisters (they are too competitive and she is too fragile), but she adores garden time with brothers Obi and Akela (they are considerate of her boundaries). She has been dubbed our “Pack Princess.”
