Our 40-acre wildlife sanctuary, nestled in the Yellowstone-to-Yukon Wildlife Corridor, is a loving home to wild animals that can never be released into the wild, and a refuge for reflecting—in their company—on how to create a truly sustainable world.
Our Home
We could say we live in Tetonia, Idaho but that is a human overlay onto the land. We are part of the Rocky Mountain mountain ecosystem that stretches 2000 miles to the north, and includes the Yellowstone to Yukon Wildlife Corridor, an uninterrupted pathway along which plants and animals can still migrate over time, keeping their genes flowing and their species strong. It is the last best corridor of its kind in the world. Earthfire’s animals are representatives of the wildlife that populate the corridor.... Explore

We started Earthfire by building a bridge to reach the 40 acres we had purchased, put in a well, phone and electricity, and began building with hope, love, labor and donated materials. Then supporters joined in and we are now halfway to our goal.... Explore
