Piddle Paddle
Piddle Paddle, a young white wolf, was once named Mariah because she ran like the wind. Suddenly at age 2, in the blink of an eye, she was a paraplegic. Experts were baffled. They could offer no hope.
Piddle Paddle was a resident wolf at Earthfire Institute. One day she woke up paralyzed in her hind legs. The vets suggested we put her down, but we felt she was not ready to die, so we took her home. Through great will and determination she beat the odds and could walk again. Piddle Paddle showed us her passion and determination to live.

This story is heartwrenching, and my hat’s off to you for your courageous determination along with hers in attempting to overcome this unfortunate disability. As you indicate in the opening sentence that Piddle Paddle “was a resident wolf” – is she no longer alive – and if so did you have to put her down?
