Sweet and Wise Windwalker
Dear Friends
A Long Tail from Earthfire
I had the sadness but much pleasure to spend the last few hours with our friend. He left with happiness and hope for his kind, our own and all species, for all living spirits past present, worthy and still unworthy for what the mother has given, given and still offered to us, to our future and our legacy … He left us strong and with something we can only wish for, but attainable to us all.
He left me last night purring till his last breath with trust, thanks to you all and what you offered for this place we call ours. This Earth, this heart that pulses for us, that earthly rumbles that beats to our own heart, that feeds us, houses us and clothes us, a gift, a synonym to our wishes, the possibilities in his the purr, the word and the spirit of Windwalker and “His Fire” left with I, and shared with you, chanting with him as I hugged him far well, meeting each purr, joining his love, his healing whirr, vibrating my senses to his song, his powerful smell mixed to my own, his love and my memories, his gifts as a present to us, as I caressed his fur as one for us all, till his last breath, till his last gasp.

Windwalker & Jean
As to not forget and to savor his moment and the time he wished to give, and to nourish us all with his message …
Thank you, aya-ya…
Akaal, Akaal, Akaal. Windwalker, your compassionate service to the Earth and all her relations is a Gift that continues through the many hearts you’ve inspired. You inspire me to do my part to restore Balance here. May your relations live in abundance and peace for every generation to come. Namo, Windwalker. Bless you Jean and Susan for honouring Windwalker as you do with such Love.

Great spirit, Windwalker, I thank you for your gifts and guidance. You helped me access a part of myself that had been in hiding for most of my life and I am ever so grateful.
I recall your message to me that this was not the end, that our connection would endure no matter what world or body we each inhabit. I mourn only the passing of your body and celebrate my joy for all that you have shared with us all.
“Our bodies are only shells left on the shores of life; on the oceans of Light the vessels on Spirit and Love never die.” Sail on Windwalker, teacher and friend, may our love for you brighten your way home to Spirit.
Jean, thank you so much for sharing your heart with us and your beautiful connection with Windwalker. And thank you Susan and Jean for the space and reverence that you hold for all the animals at Earthfire. We are all so blessed to have been able to attend workshops there, and become a part of your animal family.
Hugs to all,
Rose

Jean, Thank you for sharing Windwalker’s wisdom, and the beauty of his passing. I weep for your loss, and rejoice in the magic of the love that you shared. Many have been blessed by that love, and in it, Windwalker lives on.

This puma has so touched my heart even I have never seen him live in physical form. Thank you all of you responsible for bringing him into my life. His presence changes but remains with us. You were so lucky to know him on the physical level as well – thank you for sharing, thank you, thank you, thank you <3

Windwalker,
To say it was an honor to meet you and to learn from you is such an understatement. I have always believed you were a cat with a vision. I thank you for your patience as I struggled to follow your lead, to see the world the way you did. I am in awe of the way you lived and the way you died. You always took your rightly place on the throne, even when you could no longer stand. I cherish the time I shared with you and I will miss you dearly. Thank you.

My heart aches for Jean and Susan and all the Earthfire beings. But it also swells with happiness for the love they show our earth and all its inhabitants, inspired in part by the wonderful Windwalker. His touching so many hearts will be a forever tribute that will carry on into perpetuity, and our earth community will be forever changed because of it.
I carry his tear, given to me through Jean, forever on my heart. The moment I placed it there, I felt his energy to my core, and will do my best to honor him by striving to enlarge and enrich our community through connection and a nurturing spirit.

I’ll never forget being at Earthfire and being sent off to make our mandalas and working with our stones. One of the “assignments” was to pick an animal that we feared. I picked a cougar. Then something made me look up and over and I met the eyes of Windwalker. What a “coincidence” I picked that spot for my mandala. He was so calm, stately, beautiful. I couldn’t take my eyes off of him. What a gorgeous, amazing creature. Jean and Susan, thank you for your devotion and love you bring to these animals. And your gentleness and kindness. Windwalker, thank you for calling me to your eyes. You inspire me to do my best for all beings. Blessings to you all.

Joyous release to you, Noble One! A chorus of “thank you’s” follows in your wake, for you have powerfully changed our world with your strong will and loving heart. May I show such will and such love! I will remember what you told me, and so much more.
May all loving beings reunite in conscious communication – animals, plants, humans, elements, and nature spirits. We will carry forward your dream. Thank you for rekindling our hope.

What a privelege; what soul work; thank you so much for your committment to these earth angels with fur. The photo says it all, a deep loving soul, unconditional, knowing he is an infinite being, fearless; we can all learn how to take our last breath in this knowing; what a gift, thanks. Pam

Well, I knew I was in need of a good cry and this just blew the top off the volcano (so to speak). What a beautiful testimony to this fabulous animal and those who loved him.
What you do is beyond valuable…it is so important for us, as humans, to regain the connection with nature and the wild, with respect and honor.
Thank you so much for all you do.
Wish I could have applied for the office mgr position – but I’m in Boulder, CO…and it’s a long drive.
Sending you much love and strength and appreciation for all you do.

Aho! I was surfing through the web looking to see if an old website of mine was up and ran across your story of the Cougar named Windwalker. I was touched since this too is my name and have a connection with the cats. What a beautiful creature and soul. Was blessed by your stories……Wa do
