He was a magnificent animal and the other wolves howling only goes to show that they are capable of showing loss and grief. It’s unfortunate that more people aren’t aware of this as maybe they would come to better understand these great creatures.

Most, most amazing when I first heard this. Just unbelievable. They have their connection to each other even when one isn’t in sight and to sense what has happened. This is so beyond amazing. It’s understandable though. They need the additional ability to sense like this to make up for the inability to speak words. Sometimes people don’t care and love as much as these animals do. If we all were more authentic maybe we’d care and love more too–which they automatically are already. Sad but beautiful story…..
