Daisy and Jenny were rounded up and taken off the range many years ago as wild burros and went from pillar to post, finally landing on a ranch that had no time for them. We would see them sometimes as we passed by, standing in a shed unable to walk because their hooves had grown so long. We brought them home and when the vet came to evaluate their health we asked how old they were. He examined them and replied: “Jenny was born before Nixon’s first term, and Daisy isn’t much younger.” That was three years ago, and here they will stay, together, to the end of their days.
What a sweet story. My dad loved burros, too. I am so happy for Jenny and Daisy and the joy they bring to you and each other.

God bless you and you enormous loving heart!!!!. If only more people realized what we all can do to protect and help the animals, and not eat them, or kill them for pleasure, the world would be a much better place.
